Job Description:

Responsibility: Provides technical & applications support for commercial Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) products (Industrial automated AFMs, Research AFMs) and services offered by Park Systems. The Technical Support Engineer will support our customer base in the field and in-house.

Description:

• Perform installations and provide training of our products at customer sites or in-house.

• Provide repair and preventive maintenance as well as analytical service as needed in-house or at customer sites.

• Report and record customer issues and implement solutions.

• Provide technical consultations and customer supports via phone, email, internet or onsite visit as needed.

• Support in the field and in-house such as trade exhibitions, conferences, user workshops, etc.

• Provide analytical services and option products sales support in house or at customer sites.

• Generate sample data and write reports.

• Support and work with other scientists and R&D engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Advanced degree is a plus) in physics, materials science, electrical engineering or related field.

• 2 years hands-on experience with AFM. Prior professional experience in AFM industry a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Ability to work well with others, to cooperate, and to share success with the whole team.

• Willingness to travel up to 70%.

• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds from floor to hip height.

• Ability to work in the US and qualified to obtain security clearances as needed.
