Sales Engineer/Manager / full-time (m/f)
for Park Systems Europe (Mannheim, Germany)

The position provides sales support to the European Park Systems Team based in Mannheim, Germany.
Covered countries: Germany, Switzerland, Austria.

Responsibility: Builds customer base in German speaking countries and contributes to grow of European AFM business of Park Systems academic sector. Reports to the General Manager for Europe.

The Role:

• Manage and close direct sales in the specified region,
• Prospect, follow up and qualify leads, and manage sales for direct sales accounts,
• Manage sales funnel and monthly sales forecasts,
• Develop, implement and manage the strategic sales plans and specific programs in order to achieve business objectives and quota,
• Work together with the apps and marketing teams for successful execution of equipment demos, sample imaging, new and existing customer visits, workshops, conferences, and exhibitions,
• The candidate will manage the day-to-day sales and marketing activities including tradeshow exhibits, road shows, and other promotional events,
• Travel up to 50% of time.

Qualifications:

• Engineering or science degree, or equivalent relevant experience
• Knowledge of the theory and operation of AFMs
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
• Experience in selling in an academic environment is a big plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate strong ability to work in a team and collaborate with others
