About mmc:

In 1966 the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) held their first MICRO meeting in London. This event combined a scientific conference with a major microscope exhibition, and encompassed life and physical science as well as instrumentation and different types of microscopy techniques. As it kept growing over the years in size and importance it attracted more and more delegates and visitors from overseas and started competing with other major Microscopy congresses in Europe and internationally. During the years of 2002-2010 the decision was made to re-brand the MICRO series as MICROSCIENCE. From there on out the MICROSCIENCE Conferences continued to develop into one of Europe’s major microscopy events, serving two main purposes: promoting and showcasing the latest developments in the field of microscopy, while also providing a topnotch conference program. Due to the London Olympics and Paralympic Games in 2012 the RMS decided to relocate to Manchester. With over 100 exhibitors and over 3000 delegates and visitors the emc2012 turned into the largest European Microscopy Congress to date. Since then the RMS has build on this success and re-branded the series again in 2014 to mmc (Microscience Microscopy Congress).
